Youth Services at the Westminster Society for People with Learning Disabilities

Youth Club graffitti style logoMonday at Stowe Community Centre is for young people with learning disabilities who are transitioning into adult life and independent living. One of the main focuses is integration into the community. Stowe enables interaction with other youths from all walks of life and provides a great base for socializing for the teens.

Activities in the Stowe Community Centre have opened facilities and classes to youths, enabling them to use the gym, take part in Zumba classes, and spend time with IT equipment. The centre also has more specialised studios for specific projects giving users the chance to try out different activities such as music production, costume making, t-shirt printing and photography to name a few, increasing their skills and broadening their horizons.

The service is free of charge and runs every Monday evening from 6:30-8:30pm. Transport to and from home may be available depending on individual circumstances. It’s also available every Thursday and Friday during Holiday and Half Term.
