Family Sundays are events that take place on Sundays at The Royal Opera House. They put on a mixture of different activities for children and young people in morning and afternoon sessions running from 10.00-12.30 and 13.30 – 16.00. Their aim is to offer an opportunity to discover opera, ballet with fun-packed creative activities suitable for all ages in a warm, friendly and relaxed environment.
Each session lasts 2.5 hours and activities run in different areas of the building at the same time. (No activities take place in the main auditorium or theatre)
The activities they run are different but always inspired by operas and ballets.
Activities include:
- Singing/dancing workshops
- Dance and music performances
- Craft workshops
- Dressing up
October Dates:
Sunday 1st and 22nd October: Curtain Up
Information on signing up:
Expression of interest forms for all events will be open for applications 6 weeks before each event date.
Each form will close 3 weeks prior to the event so that tickets can be allocated.
If you are successful, you will receive an email confirming your ticket allocation directly from The Royal Opera House. Please respond to confirm your tickets.
Once this response has been received, you will receive further information on how to collect your tickets on the event day.
