The Civic Leadership Programme, a partnership between Operation Black Vote and Westminster Council, offers a unique opportunity for individuals in Westminster to become future civic leaders. It aims to address the underrepresentation of Black and minority ethnic individuals in civic and public life. Participants gain hands-on experience, explore areas such as education, policing, justice, health, the voluntary sector, and local government, and develop leadership skills.

The programme is open to individuals aged 18+ who are passionate about community affairs and can commit 6 – 12 working days over six months. There’s no participation fee, and travel and food costs are reimbursed.

Successful participants receive a certificate, an invitation to a graduation event, and access to OBV’s Alumni programme.

Application deadline: 31st October 2023, with online interviews in November.
