SUCCESS!!

A massive congratulations to local charity the Floating Classroom who received the good news that their On the Waterfront  project has secured funding and is set to go ahead. This is very welcome news after the heartbreak of narrowly losing out in the final of ITV’s the People’s Millions a couple of weeks ago.

On the Waterfront will provide film-making workshops for children at four schools in North Westminster, including Edward Wilson Primary in Westbourne.  The children will research the histories of their neighbourhoods and the canals that run through it and then shoot short films based on these stories. They will try their hand at script-writing, scenery-making, performing, sound recording and filming. The project will culminate in a community premiere to celebrate the children’s achievements.
