On behalf of the Co Mooring Team, the Westminster City Council and the Canal and River Trust, members of the forum and local residents are invited to the launch of the Co Mooring project and an evening of canalside discussion at the Grand Union Canal on Friday 28 June.
The event is an opportunity to discuss the use of canals as public space in the 21st Century, with speakers from local communities, Westminster City Council, Canal & River Trust and the design industry.
The event will also celebrate the launch of the Co Mooring project, a 4 week community project/collaboration with Westminster Council and the Canal and River Trust to explore how underused and unloved spaces on the canal can be transformed through architectural intervention, policy changes and a number of community activities on the site between the 28th of June and the 28th of July.
