DESCRIPTION:\n\nCome aboard the Floating Classroom for a 10-week storytelli
 ng adventure!\n\nWe're excited to offer this free afterschool club where y
 oung storytellers will explore North Westminster's waterways and create or
 iginal stories inspired by our local canals.\n\nLed by professional storyt
 eller Phil McDermott\, community artist and educator Zoe Callow\, and the 
 Floating Classroom team\, children will embark on a creative journey to de
 velop their own unique tales – real or imagined – inspired by the past
 \, present and future of Paddington and its canals.\n\nDuring the 10-week 
 club\, children will:\nExplore North Westminster's waterways\nLearn storyt
 elling techniques from a professional\nCreate original characters and plot
 s in their own story journals\nDevelop public speaking and performance ski
 lls\nWork together to create and perform group stories\nShare their finish
 ed stories at a special celebration event with family and friends\n\nEach 
 session will include games and creative activities designed to build confi
 dence and nurture imagination. By the end of the project\, children will h
 ave become accomplished storytellers with their own original stories to sh
 are!\n\nOur storytelling club will take place every Tuesday on the Floatin
 g Classroom (Electric Barge) in Paddington:\nTuesday 21st April\, 4:15pm 
 – 6:00pm\nTuesday 28th April\, 4:15pm – 6:00pm\nTuesday 5th May\, 4:15
 pm – 6:00pm\nTuesday 12th May\, 4:15pm – 6:00pm\nTuesday 19th May\, 4:
 15pm – 6:00pm\nNo session on 26th May (half-term)\nTuesday 2nd June\, 4:

 pletely free\, thanks to generous support from the Young Westminster Brigh
 ter Futures Fund\nOpen to children aged 7 - 11\nEverything needed to take 
 part in the club will be provided\, including story journals\nSpace is lim
