Floating Classroom Summer HAF Club – Week 1
PLEASE NOTE: This project is part of the Holiday Activities & Food (HAF) Programme, for young people in Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea who are eligible for benefits-related Free School Meals. Snacks and lunch will be provided.
This summer holiday the Floating Classroom is offering two 4-day activity clubs on board our wide-beam canal barge in Paddington over 2 weeks in late July and August. Children aged 8 – 11 can sign-up for both weeks of the club. Children aged 6+ can sign-up for Week 2.
Activities currently scheduled (with more to be added) for Week 1 include:
- Boat trips on the Floating Classroom
- Kayaking on the canal (children aged 8+ only)
- Storytelling workshop
- Arts & Crafts activities
Week 1 of the Floating Classroom Summer HAF Activity Club will take place from 11 am – 3 pm on the Floating Classroom in Paddington on:
- Tuesday 29th July
- Wednesday 30th July
- Thursday 31st July
- Friday 1st August
This activity is for children who are eligible and registered for free school meals.
Healthy, cost-free snacks and lunch will be provided.

Children’s Free School Meals eligibility will be checked by the council before the club begins, so please make sure your child is registered. If inaccurate information has been provided we may have to cancel your child’s place at the club.

Places are limited, and priority will be given to children who are able to attend a full 4-day week of the club.
