Floating Classroom Summer Activity Club

PLEASE NOTE: This project is part of the Holiday Activities & Food (HAF) Programme, for young people in Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea who are eligible for benefits-related Free School Meals. Snacks and lunch will be provided.

This summer holiday, the Floating Classroom is offering two 4-day activity clubs on board our wide-beam canal barge in Paddington for children aged 8-11 over 2 weeks in late July and August.

Activities will include:

Boat trips on the Floating Classroom
Kayaking on the canal
Puppetry workshop
Storytelling workshop
Indoor climbing
Children can sign-up for both weeks of the club, but some activities will be repeated.

The Floating Classroom Summer HAF Activity Club will take place from 11 am – 3 pm on the Floating Classroom in Paddington on:


Monday 29th July
Tuesday 30th July
Wednesday 31st July
Thursday 1st August (earlier start and later finish, 10 am – 4 pm)


Monday 19th August
Tuesday 20th August
Wednesday 21st August
Thursday 22nd August (earlier start and later finish 10 am – 4 pm)
The club is for children who are eligible and registered for free school meals.

Healthy, cost-free snacks and lunch will be provided.

We have some training or experience of Special Educational Needs & Disabilities and are able to accommodate children with low-level needs, we do not offer 1:1. Contact us to discuss how we can support your child.
