Easter Activities 2023
PLEASE NOTE: This project is part of the Holiday Activities & Food (HAF) Programme, for young people in Westminster who are eligible for Free School Meals.*
Westminster Supplementary School has been serving the local community and providing a high quality tuition in subjects of Maths, English and Arabic language for a number of years. We are teaching , Maths, English beside Arabic language for children aged between 5-15 years old, to the modern standard of British education system. We also aim to provide volunteering opportunities for individuals who would like to progress into Early Years Education and Care so they can secure paid employment in the education sector.
This Easter Westminster Supplementary School is running a four day free of charge enriching HAF activities and healthy food for young children aged between 4 – 15 years old. This ½ Term which the Westminster City Council is funding local organisations to offer free activities and a healthy meal offer to children and young people in the borough. This provision will ensure that children and young people are supported in the half-term to access life enhancing and creative opportunities, learn about the importance of healthy eating and physical exercise and receive a healthy meal per day. Activities this half-term include Arts & crafts and cookery sessions, personal development and educational programmes; and, health and wellbeing activities.
The camps are free of charge for young people on free school meals. One free healthy meals will be provided during the day (either as a breakfast snack or a lunch .The children are welcomed to attend as as many session they would like to depending on the spaces available. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so register early to avoid disappointment.
We will be sharing a limited amount of data with Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster City Council as part of the monitoring requirements for this programme. This information will include your child’s date of birth, school and full name. This information will be matched with school census information to monitor eligibility and reach of the Holiday and Activity Fund Programme. Camp 1. 10am – 2 pm indoor Art & Craft and cooking activities on Friday 7 April 23
Camp 2. 10am – 2 pm indoor Art & craft and cooking activities on Saturday 8 April 23.
Camp 3. 10am – 2pm indoor Art & craft and cooking activities on Sunday 9 April 23
Camp 4. 10am – 2pm indoor Art & craft and cooking activities on Monday 10 April 23
Location: these will be based in WSS tuition centre @ Frances Street; Vauxhall Bridge Road SW1V 1TA.
Please fill in the below form by answering all related questions if you would like your child to take part in our activates. Our activities included Art & Craft, Cooking and sport activities. All our activities are free of charge. We accept funds, donations and contributions.
The free meals will include: Main meals; to choose either one from Kababs, Chicken, Turkish Pizza, Italian Pizza and chips. Side meal will include fruits, deserts and healthy drinks. All food will be either Halal or Vegetarian.
There will be a vautur for the participants who will be fasting during the Holy Ramadan to collect their food from the local restaurant.
