Westminster Volunteer Centre moves to Westbourne

Did you know that the Volunteer Centre has recently relocated to 4 Sutherland Avenue, just off the Harrow Road?  The Volunteer centre works with anyone from Westminster who wants to volunteer, and helps to place them with organisations, groups and charities that need volunteers. If you are not sure what you want to spend your time doing, they can discuss ideas with you and find the perfect role to suit your time, skills and development. Volunteering is something anyone can do!

The centre have also launched a new volunteer strategy which will see them concentrating volunteering efforts into Westbourne itself. Following a meeting with organisations that already work in the area,  unemployment was identified as a local problem that needs addressing. Over the coming year, the Volunteer Centre will bring together charities, companies, the local community and volunteers from across Westminster to address unemployment in Westbourne. We will keep you posted with updates about this!

They are holding an open day for local residents and stakeholders on Friday 30th November, and will be open between 11am-2pm and 4pm-7pm. You can drop in any time, or if you have a particular question or want to see a particular person you should use the online form
