Community Champions land in Westbourne!

It’s only two months in but our fresh, passionate team of newly recruited volunteer Champions have been getting stuck in to improve health and wellbeing of residents in Westbourne. The Champions have been very busy visiting and finding out about local services, attending excellent training and planning a range of events for the upcoming months. The cheerful team also had fun at their first event – a pop up stall Edward Wilson Primary School, where they gave out healthy smoothies and introduced the project to the parents and pupils.

If this sounds interesting to you, we are looking for passionate residents from Westbourne who are interested in becoming Champions! We ask for 3-4 hours a week. With lots of ideas to get working on, like setting up health walks, as well as planning big events like our Christmas Tea for Elderly residents and a health fair in January, you will gain lots of experience, receive great training, make a difference and have lots of fun!
